Meryl Conant joined the Count on 2 team in October 2006. She comes to the Lowcountry from the Shenandoah Valley, where she was a reporter at WHSV. She also anchored and produced during her two years there.

Before entering the working world of broadcast journalism, Meryl received her Master's degree from Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism. Before that, she graduated from Cornell University, where she majored in history.

Meryl grew up right outside of Washington, D.C., and is thrilled to be in the south- where the weather is warm and so are the people! Although she may miss the snow and her family, she feels right at home in the Lowcountry and at News 2.

Meryl enjoys reading, skiing, watching TV, and spending time with her friends and family. She lives in Mt. Pleasant with her husband Joey.
