Tim joined News 2 in June of 2007 with more than a decade of news experience under his belt. His interest in news started when he was a teenager working behind the scenes at his hometown station shooting video, writing, and editing for newscasts.

Tim went on to earn his degree in Telecommunications from the University of Florida. His career has taken him throughout his home state of Florida, Virginia, and North Carolina. He has covered everything from hurricanes to NASCAR and has covered stories for various networks including CNN and NBC.

Most recently, Tim was the media relations manager at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Tim is always looking for unique ways to tell a story.

“My experience has provided me with a certain insight and perspective,” Tim says. “That perspective allows me to ask the right questions so that stories matter. To me, this is responsible journalism.”
