Children held at knife-point, that's what some parents say happened on a school bus.  Now, they're demanding action from the Dorchester County School District.

Faye Holmes says bullying went too far as her children rode the bus home Wednesday afternoon.  She says her children came home upset and recapped their account for News 2.  Holmes said, "A little boy started cursing my son and punching him in the shoulder."  Seconds later, Holmes says things got worse.  "He pulled out a knife and put it up to my daughters chest and to her friend's throat," Holmes said.

A weapon on a school bus may surprise some parents, but even more surprising, the so-called bully is only eight years-old.  He's in second grade with Holmes' son at Eagles Nest Elementary School in North Charleston.  According to Holmes, age didn't stop the child from holding a knife to the girls, ages nine and 10.  News 2's Jenny Fisher asked Holmes, "When you hear someone has put a knife to your childs neck or throat, what goes through your mind?"  She said, "Too much...so much.  Anything could have happened.  The bus could have suddenly stopped or a kid could have pushed him and that knife would have been in my daughters chest."

Holmes says her children are scared to ride the bus.  She said, "My daughter, she woke up that morning screaming."  That's why she refuses to take chances.  The mother said, "There's too much going on in schools to let this little thing just go by.  Its not a little thing."

Holmes says she doesn't think Dorchester County School District is doing enough so she called police and the superintendent.  She wants the child expelled or in the very least, wants to sit down for a chat with his parents.

Dorchester School District Officials say the principal is investigating.  However, she has taken precautionary measures and the boy is not allowed to ride the school bus until the investigation is complete.
